With the weather on the chilly side, I was craving for something yummy, hot & soupy. Headed down to old Havelock Road 'Ah Hua/Ya Hua' Teochew style Bak Kut Teh (Pork Ribs Soup with Chinese Tea) at 2am. Ironically this dish was intended to be an early morning breakfast by tradition but here in Singapore, the locals have made this delicacy their late night guilty indulgence.

Standard wet towels, chopped red chilli soaked in dark soy sauce etc.

Here's the feast! Steamed peanuts, deep fried dough fritters (You tiao), salted vegetables, 2 bowls of semi clear 'white' pork rib broth & hot white fluffy rice. They have other side dishes that we did not order like fishcakes, braised pork trotters/knuckles etc.
Here's a close up of the Bak Kut Teh. Hot, spicy & peppery in taste, huge tender chunky boiled pork ribs & soft moist shallots that melts in your mouth.
*Tip: You can even ask for numerous refills of their delicious broth for free.
